James' Baby Blessing

James was blessed this Sunday, February 16th at our chapel in Palm Bay. It was such a special blessing. I really felt the spirit and Heavenly Fathers love for James. I am so thankful to have the knowledge of the restored gospel and the priesthood. We are so thankful to have such a wonderful spirit like James in our home. 

Grandma and Grandpa Ruitman Visit

Bryson's Mom and Hans were able to come and visit us this last weekend. It was so fun to have them here. Leslie was so excited to see them. Grandma won her over right away by letting her play on her iPad.

We went to a spot beachside and saw tons on Manatees. They were so cool. That was the first time Bryson and I had seen them. They were so close. Leslie was so cute. She took a look at the Manatees and then all she wanted to do was run. 

 Leslie had so much fun with her Grandma and Grandpa. We were so glad they were able to visit!/

A Minion 2nd Birthday!

Leslie loves the movie Despicable Me. She just laughs and laughs at the minions. So I thought that it would be great to do a Minion themed birthday party for her. I am not much of a party thrower so I wanted to keep it pretty simple. Here is the invitation I made for the party. I just found a picture of the Minion eyes and then put it together in PowerPoint. We just had some snacks and then cupcakes. I arranged the cupcakes to look like a minion and frosted them. For party favors I made some Oreo pops that looked like shrunken moons. We had lots of friends over and Leslie had a great time. At first she wasn't sure if she wanted to share her things with everyone but then she got into the spirit of the party and just played! We did a dancing game and then sang. I think everything turned out great!

Talking

James is talking up a storm now. Check it out. :) I had to take the video crooked because if he sees the camera he won't talk. 

Best Friends

Here are a few pictures of Leslie and Chloe from their play date. Leslie loves Chloe so much! They are so cute together. They just chase each other and giggle. I am so grateful that Leslie gets along so well with another kid. She talks about Chloe all the time. We will say "Leslie do you want to do something fun?" and she always says "Chloe!". And when she says her prayers she always thanks Heavenly Father for her. It is so sweet. It has been really fun to see them interact more and more as they get older. We met Chloe and her Mom, Jessica, at the park today and they just ran off by themselves and played. They were just running around the basketball court giggling. We love you Chloe!

Sweet Baby James

Here are some pictures of James at around one month. He is such a good baby. He is a little chunker. He weighed 13 lbs at his 2 month check up. I love his cute cheeks and chunky legs. Leslie was always so small. It is fun to have such a sturdy baby. He is still eating great and is sleeping well. He is sleeping for 6 hours at night and then eats and sleeps another 4 hours! We are so blessed.

Leslie got a hold of my concealer, which was thankfully almost gone. She hid behind the ottoman while I was nursing James and put it on. Then she showed me the final product. :)
