Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day weekend we got to go to Steve and Suzanne's cabin in Ouray, Colorado with them and Robyn and Ryan's family. We had so much fun. We rode up with Robyn and Ryan in their nice Durango with a DVD player. Needless to say we saw a lot of Buzz Lightyear and Woody :) For lunch we stopped at a little resturant in Green River and ate at a park so the kids (and the adults) could run around.

After a few more Disney movies we were there and we could finally answer Lilly's "Are we there yet?" question in the affirmative. It was so beautiful up there in the mountains and suprizingly warm. We stayed outside as much as we could and then that evening went and had dinner at Buen Tiempo, a really yummy Mexican place in town. After we went and got some ice cream!

The next day was all about 4-wheeling! Lilly was so excited. From the second we pulled in to the driveway whe was asking when we were going to go on the 4-wheelers. So Bryson, Ryan, Lilly, and I packed up and hit the trails. Here are some pictures. There was still tons of snow so we couldn't go too far up the trails but we had lots of fun in the puddles.

The rest of the time up there we relaxed, played games, played with the dogs, ate, and enjoyed being with family. All of the boys (including Clark) helped install a microwave above the stove. It was an adventure but eventually they got it working! It was a great vacation and we are so grateful to Steve and Suzanne for letting us come up!

Baby Blanket- I finally finished!

A few months ago I decided I would try my hand at knitting so I started a baby blanket. I started about six months ago and I finally finished last week. Of course that six months consisted of 2 weeks of work, 5 months of it sitting on a table, and 2 weeks of work again. I think it turned out pretty cute! Now I guess we better have a boy first. :)

Bryson's Florida Trip

Here are some pictures from Bryson's trip out to Florida to interview with Harris. I am excited to live in such a beautiful place! He got there on a Thursday night, interviewed Friday, and came home Saturday afternoon. He got to stay at a hotel that was right on the beach.

He loved the sunrise on the beach the morning of his interview so much that he woke up early the next morning to take some pictures.

On Saturday, he drove around and saw some of the sights.

Texas Trip

Bryson's interview with National Instruments in Texas was great! They flew both of us out and got us a rental car. We had so much fun. Here are some pictures of our trip. Thanks to everyone in Texas for such a great time!

Just in case you didn't catch the reference

KC and the Sunshine Band is our favorite band -hence the name of the blog. KC is even cooler now that he's over 60:

Just kidding. But we're excited to move to the Sunshine State and grow our little band. Literally, we're starting a band, I'm not talking about growing our family. By the way, does anyone know a good bassoonist?

New Blog!

Hi everyone! Since we are moving so far away I thought I should start a blog to keep everyone up to date about what is going on in our lives. We are going to be packing up on July 23rd and then leaving Utah on Monday July 25th. Bryson does not start working at Harris Corporation until August 8th so we are going to take a road trip across the country and see the sights. We are going to stop in Colorado, New Mexico, Lubbock, Austin, New Orleans, Talahasee, and then end up in Melboure! I am way excited. Hopefully we will have a car with air conditioning for the drive. :) Bryson is so excited to start his job, now he just needs to remember to do his thesis. He is definitely on his way now though. I can't believe he is almost done with his Masters. I am so proud of him. Well, I will make sure to keep this updated. Hope you enjoy it!
