It's a girl!

We had our ultrasound yesterday, and it was so cute. We could see little hands, feet, and a heart-beat. It was also fun to see her hiccup, and at one point, she had her little hand up on her head. The ultrasound technician called her a little wiggle worm. She kept moving around because she did not like being poked and prodded by the device. She is measuring to be a little younger than initially thought, so the due date will likely be moved back to the last week in January. Everything looked perfectly normal, all the organs seem to be developing as they should. Here are a couple of pictures:

Little alien face

This is her face and knees.  She was curled up in a pretty small ball part of the time.

Cute little foot.

And here is a profile.

We are so happy to be having a little girl! We are now accepting name suggestions.

  1. Be careful when you say that you are taking name suggestions. You should hear some of the suggestions we've gotten, without soliciting any help!

    I'm excited for you guys!

  5. I kept Elisa's sonogram pictures up on the fridge from the day I got them. I loved looking at them! And I don't know how it was for you, but we could see her squirming around but I couldn't feel it yet, so that was weird! Anyway, of course I'll suggest the best names there are: Elisa or Tess. :)
