Road Trip Part 2

From Lubbock we headed to Austin where two of Bryson's brothers and their families live. We stayed an extra day to visit with everyone. Somehow Aaron managed to not be in a single picture but he was there! We had a great time playing with the kids and eating delicious barbecue. Yum!

From Austin it was on to the Big Easy. Bryson served his mission in New Orleans so we spent most of our time there visiting with families from the Spanish ward he served in for 15 months. It was so amazing to see how strong these families were in the church and how many more people had joined the church due to Bryson's faithful missionary service.  It was also amazing to eat all of the wonderful food they prepared for us. We found out while we were visiting that there will be 3 young men going on missions as a result of the families Bryson taught. It is so amazing how the gospel spreads!

And since we were in New Orleans we had to visit the Bayous. We went on a little nature hike and saw three gaters, lots of giant spiders, a few frogs, some giant crickets, thousands of small bugs and a snake! Then we headed to the city to check out the french market and enjoy a wonderful snowball.

We were sad to leave New Orleans but from there we only had to go through Mississippi and Alabama and then we were finally in Florida! We stopped in Tallahassee and stayed the night and then the next day stopped in Pensacola to visit some awesome friends, the Gundersons. Finally we made it to Melbourne! It is so beautiful here. The ocean is amazing and the humidity is not as bad as I thought it would be. We are staying in a beautiful hotel right on the beach for 7 days which I am excited about. Hopefully we will have time to enjoy it! We are both so exited to be here but we miss everyone back home!
